Im havin a discussion over at another board and this question came up.Do any of you have a definite answer and maybe a link that explains it??
Here`s the question;

Most of the whatmans we see sold by research labs are 25mmGD/X with a PVDF filter(pore size either .45 or .2), but whatman also do other filters for viscous and aqueos use(same pore sizes).Below is a list...what are the differences between them?

GD/X
GMF
PES
CELLULOSE ACETATE

Anyone know?
