Yea, definitely. I've always been strong and i love competing, so i wanted to explore pl'ing. but i have really,
REALLY noticed that my body is changing from the heavy training. my back and legs have become a lot more dense and compact, which makes me very happy. several of the figure judges have told me to "lean down and thicken up" and i wasn't sure how to do that until now. i think if i keep up training this way i will build a much better foundation for a show. once i diet down i will have much better muscle quality. i'm honestly just enjoying myself right now; i got so tired of playing the "numbers game" where all i cared about was the scale. pl'ing is just a great outlet to help me focus on my training and not have to worry about killing myself with the diet and cardio. i've actually been going for "fun runs"; just running and not worrying about it being cardio or having to push myself to the limit b/c i'm on a deadline. i can't remember the last time running was just fun. pl'ing is helping me remember that training is my stress
relief, not
added stress. feels good to succeed at something and feel like it comes to you naturally.

i've gone to a couple of figure/bb'ing shows to watch competitors that i've trained, and i keep getting compliments from the judges and other competitors on how i've filled out the former "gaps" in my physique (hamstrings, upper chest and middle back). and of
course, they want to know when my next show will be...

it's awesome to run into people i haven't seen in a few months and have them do a double take. i wore a short skirt to one of the show afterparties, and one of the girls i used to compete with was like "what the FUCK have you been doing for your legs? they never looked that good before!" for the longest time i've punished my body, tried to make it look a certain way and this and that, but i'm at a weight right now (150-155) that i'm not struggling at all to maintain, so i guess you would call this my body's set point. and i'm honestly not THAT out of "show-shape"; (just ask pullingbig

) i'm just having a good time right now and exploring my options. christ, i'm only 22 and i've competed for the past four years. most of the pro's are in their 30's. i've got a while to make up my mind, ya know?

we'll see what happens in this coming year... i'll post up progress pix and we'll have a poll on "should minx do another show?" lol...
