But doc says no weight when its going to involve the knee anywhere else weight is ok, So can anyone give me a routine, I dont want to get big I want muscle defenition. Thanks

You will most likely have to start out slow as your body gets use to the gym once again. My advice would be to find a program that starts slow maybe even a 2x a week split, but most likely a 3x split. Than gradually work your way up from there. If you are only looking for definition than you will not have to worry too much about heavy weight related issues. Utilizing the search option and browsing through the 'online journals' section will give you a good start.

what sort of surgery did you have on your knee? why no knee weights?
I work on a regular basis with patients post kee surgery ( TKR, ACL recons etc) and we do a number of squat style exercises
