 Genetically Challenged!!!!!!!

I am cursed genetically with very short, thick legs... I blame it on my Italian blood! A doctor friend told me to do my cardio on the bike. He said that the bike would thin my legs out and keep them tight. Today, a trainer friend told me the exact opposite. He said that the bike will keep my legs bulky and that running is the best to thin them out. BUT last year my trainer told me not to run because the muscle that I try so hard to keep (on other body parts especially my skinny arms) will quickly be burnt off. I know it has a lot to do with keeping my heart rate at a certain level for maximum fat burning results and I also know that there is no such thing as spot training; however, is anything more efficient than another to thin out bulky legs? Thanks, my legs are such a battle and if I had the money, I'd resort to lipo!

You think Italian genetics are bad try Mexican ones, I will never completely rid these love handles. LOL
