I started doing 5x5 one month ago and right now between sets of the core lifts that I do 5x5 on, I rest for 60 seconds between sets and the same on the supplemental lifts and when I switch Lifts I rest for 4 minutes every time I switch. Is this sufficient rest time or am I not letting my body recover? |

depends...but mostly 2-3 mins for me...and that would count for the 3 major lifts bench deads and squat. for others, like leg press, flyes, bent rows..those would be 1 minute flat. for me at least...

1 minute between sets is not enough if you are lifting even decently heavy.
