Antibiotics and Muscle growth in lifestock?

Antibiotics and Muscle growth in lifestock?

I was watching something about how people who raise cattle give them Anti-biotics inorder for them to grow more muscle. Apparantly the Antibiotics kill off the bacteria in the body which inhibit muscle growth.

I'm not saying this is a good thing for humans to do by any means(With the problems from resistant bacteria and what not), But this seems like something people would do.

Has anyone ever heard of people actually taking anti-biotics for this reason? Bodybuilders?

antibiotics don't do anything for muscle growth in cattle. they usually injecting with antibiotics and vaccines in order to fight off pneumonia and infections, as these will cause the cow to lose total body weight. farmers don't give a shit if the cow gains fat or muscle for the most part.
