 New Here and need help

Well I am new to this site and i find that it's very motivating.
Now i need major help. About 5 years ago i gained about 60lbs and i can't seem to get it off. I mean i used to be so active and fit, once i stopped doing my cheerleading and going to the gym everything went down hill.

I have been trying to lose the weight but it seems to not be dropping. Now with my wedding a year away i need to get my butt in to gear.
My future husband and I joined the gym again the end of february. He does his stuff and everything like clock work and he's shrinking by the minute but yet for me it's hell. In the past month and 1/2 i only lost 4lbs. I wanna lose more than that.

I'm not following a diet, i eat when i'm hungry and it's little portions not huge ones and i go to the gym and do my training and cardio.

I need help on how to lose a bit more weight than i'm losing now and also want to know what i can do to tone my body more.

I really hope someone can help me on this.
Thanks a bunch

First - Welcome to the board - I'm sure you will be able to find all the info that you need to get on track.

Second - Consistency with diet and training is the key to weight loss.

The first thing that needs to be done is some work on your diet and mindset towards diet.

Diet does not mean eating less food - it means eating the right foods at the right time.

You need to be eating every 2-3 hours whether you are hungry or not and you need to be eating the right foods - this will kick your metabolism into gear and actually help with weight loss.

Spend a little time on here - there are all kinds of articles and threads about dieting and the right kinds of foods to eat.

Also, it is important to keep track of what you are putting into your body and you can do this at www.fitday.com. Great site for beginning dieters.

I'll try to find some links for you and I know the other ladies will be on shortly with some additional words of advice.
