 Body wraps?

Hey y'all...I was wondering what your experience (if any) was with body wraps that supposedly help "detoxify" your body and lose inches like crazy! My friend, another trainer, suggested it to help with the whole military measurement thing, but I didn't know how long it would last...I'm thinking it wouldn't last too long, but would it last long enough to pass a stupid tape test that says I'm at 37% body fat (bullshit!!)??

Any experience/advice is helpful...

The results are very temporary; the wraps usually have a lot of caffeine and salt to pull water from the body, which will come back with a vengeance a few hours later. On a personal note: it seems as though you are doing everything you can to avoid dieting and losing the fat you have through legitimate methods. Why is that? You know you didn't gain the weight overnight; with the time you've wasted looking for quick-fixes you could have already lost a significant amount of bf%. I hate to sound harsh, but you are going to end up worse than when you started out because you are wrecking your metabolism. i know you want to enlist, but "fooling" the tape test isn't going to help you get thru basic training any easier. If anything you'll wish you had prepared more adequately for the PT.

PS: Good luck with your goals, and please don't take any offense. There is a wealth of info on here, and i didn't mean to discourage you from posting. BTW, how much longer do you have? It seems like i've been reading your posts about emergency weight loss since January?

Because, with all due respect, I have too much muscle for the military...every recruiter has told me that...No matter how much I lose, they still need me to lose more, and it's starting to piss me off...I'm in better shape than most recruits going in, and the recruiters putting 'em in! Right now, I'm in this state of limbo because I'm done with school, live at home, and have a part-time job...to get to where I want in life, the military is the next step...I'm impatient, that's all...I don't want to be living at home for another year while I try to drop weight that I don't need to...Oh well...To each their own...It's not like I don't know how to diet properly or anything...It's more a matter of my own impatience than my own ignorance...What I'm trying to do is basically sign the papers, and after that, prior to shipping to IET, incorporate the clean diet and shit to get my weight down to where it needs to be, yet provide my body with proper nutrition to train and prepare for military training...Ya understand? I ramble a lot...

Let's just say according to them, I am 29lbs too heavy for my height...Last night, I had my body fat measured, and was sitting at 22% (blah...). Sure, I'm not 12% BF, but nor am I 37% like they keep measuring me at. I guess it's just frustrating because it's getting in the way of me reaching my goal. My poor recruiter has to deal with me, dehyrdated, hungry, and tired...hehe...

However, I also got my measurements taken...Since 12 March 05, I've lost 20lbs and 11.5" total. The only part of me that hasn't bugged, inch-wise, are my quads...still the same damn size...
