Mock "Smoked Salmon"

First time Sweets saw me putting this together he looked at me like I was nuts. Sounds looney but it works.

1 large salmon fillet (whole side of fish. Could probably work with smaller fillets too but adjust cooking time)

Adobo seasoning

Hickory flavored bbq sauce (whatever brand you like as long as it's hickory)

Lay fillet out on tin foil. Sprinkle liberally with adobo and rub down with sauce . Rub the sauce in well.

Fold tin foil into a pouch and bake at 375 for approximately 25 minutes. Remove from oven and let sit about 10 minutes.

Open packet and enjoy!

This recipe just simulates the smoke salmon taste withoust the hassle. Doesn't take much sauce to pull it off. I usually just serve ours with a side of greens and rice.

sounds delicious I have a freezer full of salmon fillets so I will definitely try this recipe.
