I ordered ephedrine (bio-X) from a site and sent the money order for it on thursday....Today (tuesday 24th) i recieved an email from the place asking if i still wish to order the product since they havent recieved the cheque...should i worry about this?? because its my first time sending a money order and its for a quite a sum.....I dont want to be out of the money!
I sent the money order through snail mail...im assuming that it would take at least 3-4 days for the cheque to travel within the province....im in kingston and the company is in waterloo....
Please let me know if i can cancel the check and resend a new one...or what should i do???!?! |

Alright....i am definitely starting to worry about this....i contacted the company today (wed feb 25th) and they said they havent gotten my money order! I think that the MO got lost in mail....

I wouldn't worry about it yet. Canada Post is the biggest bunch of fucking morons this side of Newfoundland. It'll probably get there by Friday at the latest. If not, than I'd start to worry.
BTW: Why no credit card?

I agree, Canada post does suck in a big way.
it's better to pay a couple of bucks and send it with the xpress post (which is still canada post, but smarter people I guess)
You get automatic insurance and you can see once it arrives.
The best way to go and still very affordable.

Gymphreak, if you kept the reciept for the Money Order then you can get the money back if Canada Post did indeed lose your mail.
Just a side note, I always keep my Money Order reciepts because as someone said it perfectly here, Canada Post is a big piece of shit. They "lost" two very important pieces of mail that I sent out last year via Express Post. Lost me a grand total of almost $5K. Needless to say, I learned my lesson. I onyl send funds in the mail by using MO's and I always keep the reciept in case the package gets lost. This way you can at least get your money back since you have the reciept. The bank or MO issuer will just make sure that it has not been cashed and then they will issue you a new one or give you your money back.
