protein
I weigh 165 pounds and I eat 5 meals each day every 2,5/3 hour of which every meal contains 35g protein. But how much protein can my body absorp each meal? Because when I mis a meal, can I eat more protein in the next meal so that I get enough proteins? Or is it possible that I eat my meals with less time in between. So I still can get 5 meals with 35g protein in it? | | Reply » protein |
The most protein you should have in a meal is 50 grams. Anymore and it would be a waste because you're body would not be able to break down such a large amount. Believe me, i had to find this out the hard way. If you miss a meal, don't have more protein, just have the same amount as any other meal you would have.

But if I don't take more protein in my other meals I don't get enough protein, and that means nog gain wright?

There is no specific amount of protein that is absorbed each meal that can be applied to everyone. Everyone is different. Different weight, metabolism, etc, etc. To say that you shouldn't eat more that 50g, is not really accurate. Why 50? What is that based on?
The only way to find out what works best for you is trial and error.

Exactly as vigilance said there is not a magic number, you have to figure out your metabolism through trial and error. I spent years stuck at the same weight and this year I finally figured out how much I really need to eat. I upped my protein drastically, upped the intensity of my workouts and it seems like I can't stop gaining.
