 eat like a maniac

I was reading a article in which the authors says that in your off season(while bulking) as long as you get your protein in you should eat what ever the hell you want he goes on to say pizza,donuts,chips..He says there is a time for dieting and a time for all the calories you can get...does anyone actually do this......

NO!!
I am a big advocate of clean healthy diet, even when bulking. If you check the sticky at the top of the forum theres tons of ideas and oppinons on this
why risk adding more fat when you dont have too? and then you willl need to diet harder to loose that extra chub, risking loosing muscle mass at the same time(that you worked so hard to put on).
and our bodys need essential nutrients to grow, junk food is not going to meet those needs.. and protein is not the only required macronutrient needed for muscle gains.

I know I don't do it right, but I'm an ecto and I can usually get away with it. While trying to bulk a little bit, I'll eat pretty much anything except for sweets and sugars. The rest is fair game.

I think that diet is a lifestyle. Unless you are being paid to cut all that fat and stop eating crap, you probably wont. So you'll end up being a fat slob all year around. Pros are able to eat crap in the off season since they have an incentive and discipline to cut. Eat healthy year around and your probably better off.

You can eat like a maniac and eat healthy too, When I am bulking I eat like a maniac but fairly clean, actually I hate most junk food- its too salty or too sweet and it smells horrible-- Once you develop the taste for healthy foods it is easier to keep a good diet.
