  Whole Wheat/whole Wheat Flour

 Whole Wheat/whole Wheat Flour

I am having trouble finding many foods that have whole wheat as main ingredient. Whole wheat flour (if I am not mistaken) has close to the same GI as regular flour(mid 70's). Does anyone have a conflicting article? ..
How about some foods made from Whole Wheat.

Thanks RED

whole wheat flour is still very highly processed.

you've got bran, pancake mix, muffins, biscuits, crackers, pastas, couscous, etcetera that can all be made using whole wheat grains. they are made from the entire wheat kernel instead of just the endosperm of the wheat kernel (like white bread), which makes them more nutritious for you (more vitamins, minerals, fiber) but will still rest pretty high on the GI.

whole wheat flour is the same as flour. All you need to do is look to see if the food has been ENRICHED with niacin, and riboflavin added to it and you will know it has been processed. Whole wheat foods need to have the first ingredient as "whole wheat" to truly be so.

whole wheat flour has more fiber so it's not going to spike insulin response as sharply as white flour.
