Is egg pastina (pasta) not spaghetti or fettucinni pastina good for complex carbs and cals. 1/3 cup is 220 cal, 8 grm protein, and 40 carbs. so 2 cups would be 1320 cals, 48 grm protein, and 240 carbs. what do you all think of pastina (pronounced pustene). thanks, rook. |

tastes good, but you'd do better to eat whole wheat orzo or a larger noodle like spaghetti since white pasta is pretty high on the glycemic index.
if you're not worried about that, then i agree - the stuff is great.

it would be alright at a post workout carb source when bulking depending on your metabolism and what not. personally I would go with the whole wheat

Good for pre-workout if you have some good sources of protein and fats with it. Good post-workout with a good supplemental source of protein.
