I am starting to get on track with a low carb diet and today my energy really felt low, I am getting complex carbs from things like green beans, brocoli, and some bran, but today I felt weak and tired, does any body think this will last very long... or should I start eating the brown rice and oatmeal that I bought? |

going for low carb for long periods will do that to you, energy levels really plumet since glucose(carbs) is our bodys prefered source of energy. are you having carb up days? refeeds?

bro when i was on a low carb diet i would have at least 2 day out of the week to eat high carbs before i went to the gym. you got to refuel or you will not have enough energy to keep your partner happy
i put honey in my oatmeal and ate 6 eggs with 1 yoak for breakfast

well after my work out today I was so drained and had such a crappy work out that I figured that I was running real low, so instead of mixin water with my protein shake I mixed chocolate milk. so How do I have refuel days? when should I do the re-fuel days? Do I re carb only before I go to the Gym? or is it an all day event. I got tired walking up three flights of stairs today and when I was riding the bike before my lifts I was out of breath right away. RSVP

Oh ya also, what amount of carbs and what kind should I eat before the gym or on these days, does quick oats count? or can I have mmmmm bread on these days. I think I if I go back to bread I will be hooked again.
On a posative note I seem to be getting a little leaner I think, its hard to tell but my abs seem to be showing through more!!!

Some people prefer what's known as a Targetted Ketogenic Diet which involves only taking in carbs before and/or after workouts. I like to work out off of stimulants such as Ephedrine, Yohimbe, and Caffeine throughout the week then I recarb for two days during the weekend. Meals become roughly 70% Carbs, 15% Protein and 15% on the weekends. The first day of recarbs I try to focus on taking in a lot of "fast" carbs. The second day I make sure my carbs are predominatly "slow."
