I am back to the boards after a long time of no internet access. I am now a clean bodybuilder that needs to drop from about 21% bodyfat to a lot lower. I do not care about strength, I am stictly in it for the looks. I have heard controversing stories on both sides of the no carbs diet fence. I would like to hear your input if you know. Please only post if you have tried the diet and let me know what you think. Not to be rude, but I am not interested in what you "think" about the diet. Thank you |

Im a big believer in carb cycling while trying to cut, or else stress carb refeeds if cutting them greatly. carbs are your friend for many reasons, energy, protein sysnthesis, fuel for your brain, balance leptin levels, needed for adequate thyroid function, etc etc. Its all about choosing the proper sort of carbs at the right times.

I lost 116 pounds on a no-carb diet. I did lose some muscle too, but I didnt really care at the time. I felt real flat in the gym. as far as self confidence it helped extremely.

I tried the low to no carb diet, didn't like it. I had no energy at the gym, muscles were flat. You need carbs to replace the glucose you used during you workout.
