Is whey protein, then followed by white bread, with strawberry or jelly a good post work-out meal, because of the ultra high GI of the jelly, and moderately high GI of the bread, causing a large insulin rush for your muscles?

That would work but you would be better off doing the carbs first then the whey.

Why not just a simple post workout shake with whey/dextrose.
