  looking to add muscle but maintain weight? 1st cylce counter productive?

 looking to add muscle but maintain weight? 1st cylce counter productive?


Would it be counter productive to try and add some muscle while maintaining weight for a first cycle? Or would it be more productive to try and put on ass much mass as possible to reap the benifits of virgin receptors

the reason why I ask about maintaining weight is because i compete in the 200lb class. I'm 210 ~16% right now. 4 years training seriously, 1 year semi-seriously

good question bro.well concidering the size you are now i really would build on the already exsisting muscle and build.focus on working the muscles you have already. those will grow, along with your fatloss also you will notice a stronger more defined and bigger you..good luck

Trying to add substantial muscle tissue while maintaining weight is sorta an oxymoron.

Preserving muscle while dieting down is certainly possible and can be aided by the use of anabolics.

I understand what you are saying hehateme. What about becomming a more solid 200s. is it worth it trying to gain SOME muscle and lean up. Or is it better to go all out in terms of calorie consumption to make the most of your gains first cycle is what i'm asking.

That's certainly possible, and a steroid such as anavar would probably be your ideal choice.

I'd rather bulk OR cut, but that's just me. I think trying to do both simultaneously is a bit counterproductive.

i think you are right. this is kind of the direction i was leaning in as well. I guess its a matter of short term goals vs long term. I might cut naturally then bulk up utilizing anabolics
