This may sound insanely retarded....but would it be at all possible to buy and sterilize a coffe pot and process your gear through it? Seems like it does the same filtration process that yoour needing.

NO. You can prefilter it through a coffee filter for things such as finaplix-h conversions to get some binders and fillers out. But the coffee filter does not filter out smaller things. the largest filter size you should ever use is .45 .22 is even better. just do it the right way. it will save you lots of money on medical bills.

Word! i wasn't going to try it. I was just curious if that would work. I just finished my first batch of home brewed gear. Always looking to simplify things. But yeah a .45 filter is what I used and it did a pretty good job without any pre-filter.
