I've noticed I have a fairly high BP, normally around the 150/90 range...but I have a very low resting heart beat of around 40BPM...is this normal or am I just a freak ? I've always been healthy running 30mins everyday but no where near as much in the last 1year...always gone to the gym 2-3 times a week doing weights for 1hr but I certainly wouldn't call myself super healthy...so why is my heart rate so slow ??
I've heard it's much more normal to have a resting heart beat in the range of 60 BPM.
Any body else out there with such a low resting heart rate ? |

Mine is normally between 45-55...but my blood pressure is low, as well...I'd go see a doctor just to make sure everything is okay...

My resting heart rate is around 49 currently if I'm relaxed. Lance Armstrong is around 30, there is someone around 24 but I forget his name offhand.
Typically this means your heart is efficient. Obviously though your BP is high and you need to get that down.

Lance's heart rate is 32...average male is 70 bpm...
If you had low blood pressure, I'd just tell you that you were superior shape...but seriously, go talk to a doctor when you get a chance...
