injectable Lasix, oral Lasix, Aldactone, or both
I stuck on what to use to cut water for my upcomming comp. I know that Lasix is the strongest diuretic, oral being longer acting, and injectable being considerably faster. With Lasix being a Loop diuretic, it is not potassium sparing, so I think I would have to get a potassium supplement. Aldactone is a little milder and potassium sparing. Hmmmm....decisions.......I heard somewhere that they can be used together in small quantities. Maybe that is the answer. Last question for you contest gurus out there. When do you use it to be most effective. I do know that with the injectable Lasix, you need to use it right before the show, like an hour or less, because it is so fast acting. I don't really know how else to use it to be as effective as possible. | | Reply » injectable Lasix, oral Lasix, Aldactone, or both |
I would suggest you do not use lasix
Aladactone is not really a diuretic but will help from you spilling over once you get the water out.
Dyazide or Dermadex are much better choices then lasix.
Or you could use none at all which will work also

why not Lasix? Is it because it is so easy to get flat right before the show?

For the same reasons I told you to do the show naturally-
Its a damn local show and you are not ready to be using those drugs, it makes no sense to harm your body for a damn $5.00 trophy.
You can easily get the water off without any drugs.
