 Progressive Strength LOSS?! Please Help


Hey Everyone,
As most of us normally do, I have been consistently gaining strength ever since I started working out (4 yrs ago?). This past spring I finally broke 300 lbs on the bench and up til about 6 weeks ago I have been able to consistently do a few reps at 295 to 310 depending on how I feel on a given day. However, over the last 5 weeks I have lost a ton of strength. I maxed out a few weeks ago at 270, then a week or two later I couldn't do more than 255, then the other day I barely pushed up 225 after 4 reps! This is not normal for me, I could bust out 225 for 12 a year ago. I can't figure out where/why I am losing all this strength. Other than super pump, protein, and multi-vits, I don't really take anything. I haven't changed my workout, diet, or sleeping patterns that I can link this loss in power too. I'm only working out 3-4 days a week so I don't think overtraining is an issue.

Any input that you can provide would be appreciated! Thanks fellas.

DO you cycle you traning? vary it? Do you alow for deloading in your traning?

sounds like youre trying to max your bench press too often. you have to de-load it or switch your ME exercise for a few weeks.

You have to deload or take time off, you cant give 100% each time. Deload for about 2 weeks and all your strength should come back & more.

Sounds like you are overtrained, take a rest and get back at it.

that would be my guess as well . along with the guys saying hes maxxing to often . the cns can only take so much .
