quit often i fell that when i am doing bicep curls i am using more of my shoulder muscles then biceps. why is that? does that mean too much weight? |

you could be pulling the bar up to accomodate the up swing of the bar...or your grip is too narrow...i dunno

keep the elbows down and in , dont let them drift up with the curl movement even if you have to lower the weight .

i am even also speaking with dumb bells. i seem to use my shoulders alot to lift and my elbows do come away from my side a little

If its that much of a issue for you get a Bicep Blaster. They are old school but work very well.
