hey, I lift every other day and run on the non lift days. I know i have to get the proper rest time for lifting, so would running the day after i did legs prevent them from getting the needed rest.

i might actually have to agree with this. I have found for me personally that running the day after leg day actually reduces the onset of DOMS in the following days.
