I use a 23g 1.5 on my quads, but I dont bury the pin. I like my injections deep as possible.

I agree w/ Dougoe. I find the deeper the injection, the less pain in the following days. If I don't inject deep enough, I get a lump of oil in my leg (or wherever) and often scare myself into thinking I have an abscess...
Do whatever your comfortable with.
