I think he broke his non-throwing hand in preseason and will be out a few weeks. That's the gist of it since I didn't pay too much attention to the news either.

Yup, Pennington dislocated the wrist on his non-throwing hand in a pre-season game. I also believe that he broke a few bones in the hand as well.
They say he is out for 12 weeks.

ESPN said yesterday he would not return until mid December. Of course Pennington was quoted as saying " he would be back in Nov". Either way u gotta tough decision in the fantasy ball.
