I notice when Im working out hard in general Ill have really sweaty periods. One minute Im fine and the next Im drenched. Its usually the worst at night though. I drink protein even during breaks in lifting and I dont seem to sweat though.

i see. say, is it alright to be drinking protein shakes in between workouts..like you during breaks...because protein is just...heavy on the stomach.

Yeah drinking protein (eating) is not needed or a good idea either during training. Your blood goes to your stomach to digest the food instead of being in your muscles during training. I see newbies at the gym all the time eating bannanas, chugging shakes etc etc, and I think, wow.

Plus it could make it very easy to vomit when doing heavy bent over rows etc.

I sweat more when cycling, but on protein shakes? Uhh, no...

I have 5 grams of BCAA in my Gatorade at the gym, as for "blood rushing to my stomach" thats ridiculous. Yes, your body uses energy to digest food - but blood is not inside of your stomach digesting food.

Wow. That was blown out of proportion. Its not quite that extreme Mudge.

Im saying its best not to eat or drink shakes during training as blood (energy) is focused on digestion instead of the muscles of your body. The more blood you have in your muscles while training, the better the energy and pump in them. Yes even milk or whey during your workout keeps digestion going the whole time.

Im just helping with what I know man. We all know blood is not inside the stomach.
