I have lipoma all over my body. I have 1 lump on my chest, 1 on my arm, 1 on my head, and 10 on my groin/waist region. I went to the doctor to get it checked, twice, and that is how i know what they are. FYI they are "fatty tumors" that are harmless, aka fatty deposits.
I was speaking with a dermatologist, and he said that 1-2 lumps of lipoma are pretty common. I only showed my doc 3 of them. The dermatologist told me "the only time lipoma occurs more than 1-2 places is in users of anabolic steroids". I was like ah figures...but then he said..
"Also, people who get lipoma easy should never use steroids, because they can occur on the liver, causing "fat tumors" or "fatty deposists" on the acctual liver", which i imagine is BAD.
Any way i can get this checked?
Think its worth it?
Anyone else got it?

lipomas are benign (non cancerous). they can be removed for cosmetic reasons or if the lipomas grows and get in the way of things. imaging the liver can be done with ultrasound, cat scan, or MRI. if you had blood work done with either metabolic or hepatic panel, and liver function tests are normal you should be fine. can anabolics increase the risk or number of lipomas, dunno.

I have never heard the association between lipomas and AAS. This is good to know, I am no dermatologist afterall. Getting your LFT's checked should be adequate, but ab ultrasound is a cheap test that can give you a good idea of the situation. I am interested in knowing how big your lipomas are, I imagine they are fairly small considering that you are not freaking out about them. I have seen some HUGE lipomas during my surgery rotation.

you can break them down by injecting them with deoxycholate, many have had good success
